There are clever ways to save: What other uses does expired milk powder have?
Recently, one of my favorite stars was roast that in order to earn milk powder money for children, he also started to accept all kinds of bad films. Although it may also be a joke, it’s hard to break down, but this milk powder money is really a big expense. And whether it is bagged or filled milk powder, as long as it is opened, the shelf life is one month. If you don’t finish drinking it within a month, then mothers are even more distressed and want to cry without tears. Don’t cry, dear mothers, expired milk powder still has many uses!
Tip 1: Make a facial mask
Many mothers know that drinking the leftover yogurt can be directly used as a facial mask on their face, but in fact, milk powder is also OK.
Method: Mix milk powder, honey, and water and apply them directly to the face. After 15-20 minutes, wash with warm water and follow the normal skincare sequence for skincare.
Effect: Whiten and moisturize the skin, leaving it radiant
This use can be extended: it can wash face, serve as a shower gel, take a bath, wash hands, and so on.
Tip 2: Watering Flowers
Milk powder is a good fertilizer. Milk powder contains a large amount of protein, which should be a good nitrogen fertilizer after microbial decomposition. Nitrogen is one of the common fertilizer raw materials on the market. So milk powder can be completely used as fertilizer. Just note that the milk powder must be fermented and fertilized according to the type and growth of flowers and plants. Additionally, there is a downside to using this homemade fertilizer, including expired yogurt, to water the flowers. The flowerpot generally has a foul odor and can attract many small flying insects. Use indoors with caution!
Tip 3: Wipe the Floor
Dilute expired milk powder with clean water and sprinkle it evenly on the floor or dilute it directly in a watering can. Spray it onto the floor with a watering can and wipe it with a mop. The floor will be as shiny as new. (Can be used in conjunction with expired diapers~)
Tip 4: Wipe shoes or leather furniture
Pour expired milk powder into a container (do not pour too much at once), and then wipe it directly with a damp cloth. The leather shoes will immediately become shiny and can also prevent dryness and cracking.
Wiping leather products or furniture is similar in method. After wiping with expired milk powder, it can basically restore its luster, prevent and repair some small cracks.
Tip 5: Put it in the refrigerator for deodorization
Grapefruit peel can be deodorized in the refrigerator because its inherent flavor is refreshing and pleasant. Although milk powder has a milky odor, it can really remove the odor from the refrigerator. The method is also very simple, just put expired milk powder into a small bowl, and you can deodorize it without cleaning. Is it very convenient?
Tip 6: Make Mantou, cake, ice cream, etc
If the milk powder has just expired, it can be used to replace milk in steaming Mantou, baking cakes or making ice cream, and the results will not be too bad. However, I personally don’t quite agree with using this. It’s okay for adults, so it’s best not to let the baby eat it. After all, it’s not long after the expiration date and the best time to consume has been missed, but there may be some side effects. If it causes physical discomfort after eating, it would be too much of a loss.
Tip 7: Baby conducting experiments
For example, expired diapers and some unusable items can be used by babies for experiments. But for things like food, the premise must be to ensure that the baby does not eat them by mistake. Alternatively, it can be done with adults as part of a parent-child activity. Believe it, babies’ creativity is quite abundant.
