I’m Closer to Happiness After Severance
Many years ago, a book “Severance” was a best-seller. At that time, I was in the teenage period when I wanted to decorate myself with the world. One of the characteristics of the teenage years was that I liked to buy and buy, and I couldn’t understand the author’s feelings at all.As I grew up, I was unaware that although I still had a teenage heart, I was a mature woman in many ways (actually, I’m not sure if I’m considered a mature woman, at most I should be considered a light mature woman). One of the most obvious changes is to fall in love with the breakaway.
The most obvious change is that I love to live a minimalist life in Japan, which is an earthquake-prone country. When an earthquake strikes, things in the house tend to fall from cabinets or other places, hitting people’s heads and causing injuries. As a result, the Japanese people are strongly aware that many things in their lives are not necessary, and their existence is a kind of burden.
I don’t know when the goal of decluttering and minimalist living became my goal, but perhaps it was the relief I felt after organizing my room that made me fall in love with decluttering.
The following and share with you my own breakaway principles.
Throw away things from previous studies or work. As a nostalgic person, I used to keep my notes and textbooks from my studies, but these things have never been used since I graduated and will never be used in the future. The things I learned after graduation are far more valuable than the things in my textbooks and notebooks.
Give away or sell decorations and ornaments. Every girl likes to buy cheap but nice souvenirs or decorations when shopping or traveling. These things may be cute, but they don’t feel like it after looking at them too much. Put in the house will only accumulate dust, no substantial role. You can give it to a friend who needs it, or sell it online and give it to someone who needs it.
Resist the urge to buy. Girls are naturally shopaholics, but many times buy useless things. So, now my shopping list is mostly for food or other easily consumed things, such as skin care products, toiletries and so on. Other space-occupying and not practical value of all do not buy. Of course, it is also necessary to change the problem of hoarding. Like skin care products, which always seem to be on sale, there is always a sense of loss if you don’t buy. The stockpile is too much, and you can’t use it for years, and some of it is thrown away halfway through. So, don’t hoard, even if it’s on sale, stick to the principle of using up before you buy.
Give up duplicate things. I used to like to buy similar or even the same thing, such as the same type of bag to buy several, power converters have two, cell phone cases have two. In fact, 90% of the duplicate things will not be used. So, get rid of the duplicates and buy new ones when they are broken, don’t stock up too much at once, it takes up space and is cumbersome.
Get rid of old clothes and old books. Every girl’s closet has one less piece of clothing, but every girl’s closet also has more than one extra piece of clothing. Some clothes are bought only to find out that they don’t fit you, and some clothes have been worn for years and are a bit dated in style. Measure your closet and get rid of any clothes you haven’t worn in more than two years. There are many ways to dispose of them, including giving them to friends in need, sending them to children in the mountains, and now you can also recycle them at home through the Alipay platform’s Ant Forest. It won’t make the clothes garbage, the clothes can continue to be put to good use. For old books, put them online and give them to friends who need them.
In addition, organizing the things I already have at home gives me a great sense of satisfaction, leaving behind the necessities of life and discarding things that are intact but have not been used for years, making me think more about what I really need, and the pursuit of life lies more on the spiritual level than on the material level, which also seems to confirm the saying, less i7s more. minimalist life, no longer relying on the material world to pursue a sense of security, the real The real sense of security comes from the inner abundance. For this reason, I personally think that you can enrich your heart and get rid of the excessive dependence on material things by the following ways.
Read more. This is true. The book has its own face, the book has its own gold house. Walk ten thousand miles, read ten thousand books. These truths need not be said, you all understand.
Go travel. Go from where you are tired of staying to where others are tired of staying to see the diversity and inclusiveness of the world. Put yourself into the big world, only to find yourself so small, only to think. It is said that the soul and body, there must be one on the road.
Cultivate hobbies. Do something you like to do, discover and then develop your own hobbies. When you have something you like to do, you don’t care about material needs, just like falling in love, there is love and water.
Nowadays, although the situation cannot reach the same level as in “My House is Empty” (a Japanese serial in which the female lead pursues disconnection and the house is almost empty), gradually the house becomes clean and tidy, and the heart becomes extraordinarily rich and satisfied.
